P&T Status: Most family benefits require you to have a 100% Permanent and Total (P&T) rating. Check your rating decision letter. If it says "permanent and total," you have P&T. If you have 100% but it doesn't say P&T, you may still be eligible but should verify with VA.
Application Required: These benefits don't automatically activate. Your family members must apply for CHAMPVA, Chapter 35, and other benefits separately. We'll show you what to apply for.
